Alchemy Markets Recognized as Best Global Broker 2026 At Online Trading Expo HK

The first edition of Online Trading Expo landed in Hong Kong on May 27th and 28th at AsiaWorld-Expo,  and it set a high bar for what an industry gathering in this region can look like. Alchemy Markets was there as a Titanium Sponsor and exhibitor, and we came back with more than business cards. We came back with a much clearer read on where the trading industry is heading, what professionals across APAC are actually grappling with, and which conversations are worth having right now. We also came back with the Best Global Broker 2026 award, recognised at the expo itself, which made it mean a little more.

What Happened At Online Trading Expo

This wasn’t a conference dressed up as a trade show, or a trade show dressed up as a conference. Online Trading Expo was genuinely both, and the mix worked. Over two days, more than 5,000 attendees moved between the exhibition floor and the conference sessions: brokers, IBs, affiliates, fintech and payments firms, crypto and digital asset operators, liquidity providers, and institutional investors. The crowd was regional and global at once, which is exactly what Hong Kong does well.

Conversations on the floor weren’t abstract; they were grounded in the specific realities of operating across the APAC region: regulatory nuance, currency flows, client expectations that differ meaningfully from market to market, and the infrastructure gaps that still exist between ambition and execution.

The conference sessions reflected an industry at a genuinely interesting inflection point. The dominant themes weren’t new buzzwords; they were real operational questions: How do you build cross-border partnerships that survive regulatory change? What does responsible AI integration actually look like in a trading environment? Where is digital asset infrastructure mature enough to bet on, and where is it still catching up?

The speaker lineup brought in sharp voices from across the ecosystem. Bruce Ahn from Partisia Blockchain spoke to the evolution of decentralised infrastructure. Marco Chung from NYSE brought the institutional lens to data and market structure. Our own Bobby Winters, Group COO of Alchemy Markets, joined that conversation as a speaker, talking through what brokerage growth looks like when you’re building for longevity rather than just scale.

A few things came up repeatedly in discussions on the floor, and they’re worth naming because they point to where the industry’s attention is genuinely focused right now.

Payment infrastructure for cross-border clients is still a friction point for most brokers. PSPs and fintech providers at the expo were fielding very specific, very operational questions, not “what do you offer” but “can you handle this corridor, at this volume, with this compliance requirement.” That specificity tells you a lot about how far the conversation has matured.

AI in trading tools is moving from marketing language to actual product decisions. The brokers asking serious questions weren’t asking whether AI belongs in their stack; they were asking which applications are genuinely ready and which are still surface-level features dressed up as innovation.

And on digital assets: the traders and institutions engaging with crypto at the expo weren’t the evangelists of a few years ago. They were operators asking practical questions about liquidity depth, execution reliability, and regulatory positioning. The tone has shifted from belief to due diligence.

What It Means for Alchemy Markets

We operate across forex, indices, commodities, stocks, ETFs, and crypto CFDs, on MetaTrader, TradingView, and FIX API. The questions being asked at Online Trading Expo 2026 are questions we’re already building answers to. That alignment wasn’t surprising, but it was clarifying. When the market’s priorities and your product roadmap are pointed in the same direction, events like this sharpen your conviction rather than redirect it.

Several partnership conversations that started at the expo are now in follow-up. IBs, fintech providers, and institutional contacts who want to understand the Alchemy Markets infrastructure in more depth know where to find us. The conversation doesn’t close when the event does. And if you were there and we spoke, or didn’t get the chance to, reach out to us at [email protected]. The best conversations from events like this are the ones that continue.
