Now, it&#8217;s currently testing the <strong>VALUE AREA LOW (VAL)<\/strong> of its <a href=\"https:\/\/alchemymarkets.com\/education\/indicators\/volume-profile\"><strong>volume profile<\/strong><\/a> beginning from August, where its rally from ~$3,400 to ~$4,900 began.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using Volume Profile and anchored vWAPs, we can gather a simple view of what&#8217;s happening on the cryptocurrency:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Either we reject from here, confirming a reversal in the short term; or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We reclaim the value area low at $4,155, and face a greater resistance zone at approx. $4,300<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Technical Breakdown of ETHUSD Daily Chart<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2132\" height=\"1345\" src=\"https:\/\/alchemymarkets.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/image-52.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15543\" srcset=\"https:\/\/alchemymarkets.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/image-52.png 2132w, https:\/\/alchemymarkets.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/image-52-300x189.png 300w, https:\/\/alchemymarkets.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/image-52-1024x646.png 1024w, https:\/\/alchemymarkets.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/image-52-768x485.png 768w, https:\/\/alchemymarkets.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/image-52-1536x969.png 1536w, https:\/\/alchemymarkets.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/image-52-2048x1292.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2132px) 100vw, 2132px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Bigger Picture (Uptrend) is Still Intact<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Zooming out, notice how Ethereum has bounced cleanly off the  <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/alchemymarkets.com\/education\/indicators\/anchored-vwap\/\">anchored vWAP<\/a><\/strong> from July\u2019s rally, sitting around <strong>$3,857<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why this matters:<\/strong> Anchored vWAP is basically the average price since that rally kicked off. If ETH stays above it, the market is still saying, <em>\u201cwe\u2019re backing this rally.\u201d<\/em> A clean break below, though, flips the script: it means the crowd has stopped believing in the July uptrend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Immediate Battleground is ~$4,155<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Now zooming in, the immediate battleground is the <strong>$4,155 level<\/strong> \u2014 the Value Area Low (VAL) of the August run from $3,400 to $4,900. Since we slipped under it, the short-term read is weakness: traders are showing they\u2019re not keen to trade in that higher value zone anymore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A rejection here tells us buyers aren\u2019t strong enough to drag ETH back into that range, which leaves us stuck under resistance and vulnerable to another leg down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But if we get acceptance back above $4,155, momentum can flip \u2014 ETH can rotate higher within the old value area, with <strong>$4,300<\/strong> being the real test. That zone is both the Point of Control (highest traded volume) and the anchored vWAP from the latest decline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Watch $4,300 as Critical Resistance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>$4,300 isn\u2019t just a resistance level, it\u2019s the line in the sand. If ETH clears it, bigger players are essentially signalling, \u201cWe\u2019re still in this for the long haul,&#8221; &#8211; and the cryptocurrency could break into new highs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Closing thought<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If ETH can\u2019t reclaim higher ground, then eyes shift back down to <strong>$3,720\u2013$3,777<\/strong>.
